It used to work, then one day just stopped. Hey so I have had an issue getting my Quest 2 to connect in developer mode for MONTHS. Lesson: make sure you don't have any old android phone manager programs installed. Did some scrounging through some old programs and found out I still had an old HTC sync manager installed with an old 32bit adb installation which was being run. Sorry if it's not quite on topic, but I can't really reinstall my drivers if I can't get past step 3.ĮDIT: oh wow. "adb server version (31) doesn't match this client (41) killing.Ī quick search online suggests I have multiple installs of adb, but nowhere actually tells me how to properly how to find any install and remove it or whether or not that's even the real issue. Once the device "connects" it only stays connected for a few seconds before disconnecting, with a warning on the bottom of side quest reading: The only indication of an issue I have is that when trying to connect to side quest, the ADB commands work only half the time: I get javascript errors constantly and the commands just stall at "loading.". my device manager shows an "XSRP device" and a "quest" under "mobile device", but ADB is nowhere to be seen. I've used multiple cables that I know work for data transfer with other USB-c devices, nothing. It doesn't help that every debugging "checklist" loops back around into the lists it's linked from. No matter what I try, I can't get the ADB Interface to show up in other devices. I've been running in circles now for about 3-4 hours. I hope that helps some of you that cant get the headset to connect despite trying everything.Īs always if you have any issues please connect with us on Discord. OK now that you have installed the proper driver, restart everything to give you a clean start - restart your PC, your Headset and then open SideQuest again. If you see a warning about installing the driver just click yes. ![]() On the right side of the next screen be sure to select the third option called "Oculus Composite ADB Interface" and click next. If you don't see the "Oculus Device" then follow Step 3 here. On the next screen look for "Oculus Device" in the list and select "Next". If you are still having issues at this step then come and chat with us on discord.Ī driver install wizard will popup, select "Browse my computer."Ī on the next screen select "Let me pick from a list.". If you are sure and have checked all the things here. If you don't see "ADB Interface" in the list make sure your headset is connected on a proper working USB cable. Right click it and select "Update Driver". Look for a device called "ADB Interface" inside a section called "Other Devices". Search for "Device Manager" in the start menu and click it to open it
